What we collect
We collect the following information within your Bachau Account:
- App users name and contact information including phone number and email address.
- Emergency SOS contacts information including phone number and email address
- A log of messages which you have access to that we have sent on your behalf to your SOS contacts and messages your SOS contacts have sent us only related to your account.
- Location data in Foreground each time you use the App and when you use any of the App functions e.g. Sending SOS Alert, using the SOS Timer, using Check in, you agree when using the App for Us to send your precise location within the emergency alerts like SMS’s, Emails, WhatsApp messages and others.
- Location data in the background the following functions within the App allow you send Alerts without opening your App and therefore require gathering your location in the background ; – Shortcut button/widget on the home screen.
What we do with the information we gather
We require this information to understand your needs and provide you with a better service, and in particular for the following reasons:
- The key reason is to ensure you and your SOS contacts know when you want help and where you are, we facilitate this process, the contact information you hold always remains yours.
- We also wish you inform you and your SOS contacts on how to use the Bachau services and products and will send instructions and tips to help you and your contacts get the best out of the products and services we provide.
- Internal record keeping.
- We may use the information to improve our products and services.
- We may periodically send promotional emails about new products, special offers or other information which we think you may find interesting using the email address which you have provided.
- From time to time, we may also use your information to contact you for market research purposes. We may contact you by email, phone, fax, in-app notifications or mail.
