Atullya Foundation Pvt. Ltd. as a pioneer in Disability Inclusive Disaster Risk Reduction (DIDRR) has developed a Disability Inclusive Get Ready Guidebook 2021 with the support of USAID’s Tayar/Nepal, to help persons with disabilities and their caretakers to minimize the loss of life and property during disaster events. The guidebook has been develop after conducting several consultative meetings with the federations of persons with disabilities, organizations of persons with disabilities, government officials and other stakeholders. After the printing of the Guidebook 2021 in color and braille Atullya Foundation has been disseminating the books to wider stakeholders.
760 copies of the DIDRR guidebook were provided to the UN IOM by Atullya Foundation on 21st April 2021. The UN IOM is in the process to deliver disaster risk reduction training program in all 753 Local Levels in Nepal. During this training program the one copy of the guidebook will be distributed in each Local Level. In the handover program, Mr. Pallav Pant Chairperson of the Foundation expressed his sincere thanks to IOM for the distribution of the guidebook and supporting Disability Inclusive Disaster Reduction (DIDRR) in Nepal.
